A player with
character.

Remember when a music player wasn't just a utility, but a little world of its own — its own look, its own personality, green equalizer bars pulsing with the bass? Amplyn brings that feeling back to Android.

    Not one dull interface
    for every mood.

A set of full themes — from classic terminal green to amber CRT and neon blue. In the app, colors, icons, font and visualizer accents all change together with a tap. You just switched the palette of this whole page above: that's how every skin works in Amplyn.

    Skin 01

    Terminal Green

The classic monochrome monitor: #00FF00 green phosphor, the VT323 retro font, glowing text — the feel of an 80s machine.

    Skin 02

    Amber CRT

Warm amber of old CRT tubes: soft glow and a lamp-like character for evening listening.

    Skin 03

    Neon Blue

Cold neon: clean lines and digital cool for those who love an interface like an instrument.

    A visualizer that
    actually reacts.

    A real spectrum analyzer

Not a canned animation — an honest real-time reaction to the sound. The bars live with the music. Press ▶ in the phone model above and hear it yourself.

    Falling peak markers

Just like the old hi-fi equalizers: the peak locks at the top and slowly slides down, showing frequency maxima.

    Oscilloscope mode

One tap switches the analyzer into oscilloscope mode — the classic scrolling waveform modern players forgot about.

    A playlist
    that remembers.

    One folder, once

Pick your music folder once — Amplyn remembers it and opens straight into your library next time.

    No accounts

No sign-up, no subscriptions, no algorithmic feed. Just your files, your library, your control.

    Your rules

The library is built from what's on your device. The player doesn't push content or decide for you what to listen to.

    Not just files
    from your device.

Amplyn keeps growing: besides the local library it already includes internet radio and a video player.

    Internet radio

Search radio stations right on the internet — many different stations, tuned to your taste. Plays in the same skin aesthetic and with the same reactive visualizer as your local music.

    Radio · online search

    Video player

Full video playback with support for all existing formats — the same characteristic interface as the music, but for the picture.

    Video · all formats

    Background playback
    with no surprises.

    Full notification controls

Play / pause / next / prev right in the shade — control playback without opening the app.

    Minimized — keeps playing

Minimize the app or turn off the screen: the music keeps playing in the background as long as you need.

    Closed — stops cleanly

Fully close the app and it stops cleanly instead of lingering in the background, draining your battery.

No ads No listening-habit tracking No data collection you didn't ask for
Amplyn is for anyone who remembers that a music player can have character, not just a purpose.

    Before you download.

Do I need internet or an account?
For local music — no: the library works offline, with no sign-up. There are no accounts and no cloud in Amplyn. Internet is only needed for internet radio and for installing/updating from Google Play.
    What does "swappable skins" mean?
Full themes, not just a background color: in the app the palette, icons, font (the retro VT323 in the terminal skin) and visualizer accents all change together with the skin. One tap switches them — try the buttons at the top of this page.
    Is the visualizer fake animation?
No. It's a real spectrum analyzer reacting to sound in real time, with falling peak markers like the old hi-fi equalizers. Plus a separate oscilloscope mode with a scrolling waveform. The phone model on this page runs a real visualizer: press ▶ and see for yourself.
Where do the radio stations come from?
The radio searches for stations right on the internet — it's not an offline catalog but an online search, so there are many stations and they're varied. Internet is required for radio; local music works without it.
    Which video formats are supported?
The Amplyn video player supports all existing formats — you don't have to wonder whether a file "will play", it just does.
Are there ads or data collection?
No. No ads, no listening-habit tracking, no data collection you didn't ask for. The player belongs to you, not to an ad network.
    How much does it cost?
Amplyn is free: no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases — every feature is unlocked from the start. Development runs on optional donations ("a cup of coffee", the ☕ button right in the player): never required, nothing is locked behind it, but it helps a lot to keep moving forward.
    Will there be new features?
Yes, Amplyn is actively developed — internet radio and the video player already arrived after the base release, and that's not the end of the list. Want to shape what comes next? Reach out on Telegram.
